Ann-Mari Broman was born and grew up in Sweden. She developed an interest in photography early and enjoyed taking pictures of her native country's beautiful natural scenery.
Ann-Mari learned the process of dark room developing later in life, while attending Raritan Valley Community College in New Jersey. She went on to attend Mason Gross School of the Arts, where she fell in love with the large format camera.
Ann-Mari has attended several classes at the International Center of Photography in New York City, where she has enhanced her skill in developing the black and white image, learned more about the large format camera and experimented with alternative photographic processes.
Ann-Mari Broman lives in rural New Jersey and find inspiration for her photographs in her surroundings.
